Juvenile Ibus

Wait lady, not sure if this is my best side.....

Is this better?

How bout my rear view, how's that?

Wait, how do i look from this side?

this is a juvenile Ibis, I found him in the top of the tallest tree at Emerson Point Preserve. when he grows up he will look like the one below.

This Ibis was accross the street on our block, along with about 20 others. this is what the one above will look like when he is full grown. Size wise he will not change, he just changes to bright White.
A beak only a mother could love

those are great shots! we had them stop at our pond one year (migrating, i guess, but i don't know from where). the 2 hound dogs went crazy! didn't like them! i thought they were amazing!

(the hound dogs would do the same with a baby goat - or worse!)

Too bad you had so many bird traumas, you make a WONDERFUL bird and wildlife photographer, much better than me!!! Love your crack about the beak!!

How amazing that they change so much in color. Not the most attractive looking bird but your shots are awesome. I wonder if he's going to send you a "bill" for posing for you?

Awesome photos. It's interesting how they change colors as they get older. I would like to watch the change.

He is so cute, I have never seen a juvenile one before. Great photos Sandra, he really got into posing for your camera.

It must be hard to stand on one foot all day ~ especially when the paparazzi is around! :)

Nice legs and striking profile (smile). I like this series. I wouldn't see something this big around here unless it was a duck or geese?
I had to leave for awhile and it took me forever to migrate back over here (pun intended). When I made the last comment on your other bloggy I was speaking (out of tired)..don't worry about it. I did lots of detailing inside and outside around the house from the time I got up yesterday, so I'm trying to rest. I'm only mentally thinking of the next post..thats how bad it is (ha ha). Well, at least the house is clean (talk about Spring cleaning..but it really needed it. I'll be back........)
